Biography:
Victor Von Doom, more commonly known as Dr. Doom, is a fictional supervillain appearing in Marvel Comics. His first appearance was in Fantastic Four #5 (July 1962).
As portrayed in the 2015 film adaptation of , Doom is initially known as Victor Von Doom, a brilliant but antisocial programmer and blogger who uses the online alias "Doom". He collaborates with Dr. Franklin Storm to create a device allowing teleportation to another dimension.
During an unauthorized mission to this new dimension, Doom and his fellow explorers are exposed to strange energies. This exposure grants him telekinetic abilities and the power to control metal but also disfigures him. Blaming Reed Richards for the accident, he becomes an antagonist, clad in a containment suit to survive, seeking to destroy the Earth in its entirety.
His motivations appear largely driven by a nihilistic view of humanity and a desire to reshape the world in his own vision, a stark contrast to his comic book counterpart's more nationalistic aspirations. He is eventually defeated by the combined efforts of the Fantastic Four.
